New Chef and New Menu at Batch This Spring

Thai Chicken Pizza

New season, new chef and new menu- Batch Gastropub welcomes Executive Chef Roberto Ferrer and he’s changing things up in the kitchen.   From fresh flavors to new twists on old favorites, the new additions to the menu will certainly make your taste buds dance.

Executive Chef Roberto Ferrer joined  the Batch team bringing with him over 25 years of experience working in some of the finest kitchens in New York and an extensive culinary background including training in kitchens around the globe.  The Cuban-born chef combines is passion for cuisine along with his worldly training to introduce vibrant flavors into Batch’s spring menu.

Some of the new appetizers you must try are the Truffle Spinach and Artichoke Dip made with baby artichokes, Parmesan cheese and served with focaccia toast and if you’re looking for something more bar-food like, you must try the Batch Chicken Wings.  These wings are finger-licking good, made with a spicy bourbon mustard glaze and served with a blue-cheese espuma.

After the appetizers you have to try the Roasted Veggie Pizza  with arugula pesto, shaved veggies, artichoke and Spinach, and  topped with a farm egg.  This vegetarian treat is good enough to eat anytime of the day.  Pair this with the new Sake-It-To-Me cocktail, a light and refreshing Beefeater gin cocktail made with muddled cucumber and a house infused coconut and lemongrass saki.  This combo is a great way to sit back and relax on a sunny afternoon in Brickell.

If you’re more of a meat and potatoes kind of person, I suggest you dig in to the Pulled Pork Shepherd’s Pie, made with 12-hour pulled roasted pork, roasted carrots,  an onion confit and topped with creamy mash.  Pair this with my favorite new cocktail the Spanish American War made with Patron Tequila, George Dickel Rye, mixed with mango, citrus juice, and a strawberry-ginger foam. This little cocktail packs a punch in a good way. Tastes so good, you’ll forget they have alcohol and perfect for spring!

Other new menu items to try are the Batch Mac Attack Burger combining two of my favorite things, burgers and mac and cheese.  This burger is not your ordinary burger, it’s brisket burger, with a panko breaded gnocchi and gruyere mac and cheese layer, topped with maple smoked cheddar,  and pecan-Jameson bacon, served with truffle fries- talk about a party in your mouth! If you’re in the mood for something lighter try the Blackened Grouper Tacos topped with a pineapple salsa,  crispy slaw, drizzled with chipotle aioli,  and served with corn and black bean salad.

These new flavors all add to the fresh and bold flavors already a favorite amongst locals in Brickell. Whether you’re watching the game or just hanging out with friends, Batch Gastropub has a little something for every one.  Their new menu will be a delight to all food lovers and veteran foodies alike.

Batch Gastropub is located in Brickell at 30 SW 12th St, Miami, FL 33130; 305-808-5555
