What better reason to party than for a good cause?! Sereia Films teamed up with Floyd Miami to host a Dance For The Fish launch party and fundraiser and everyone’s invited- well, everyone over 21, that is!

Created by a Miami-based filmmaker, Sarah Curry, Sereia Film aims to raise awareness on environmental issues through documentary films and volunteer programs. The Dance for The Fish fundraiser will also serve as the official launch party for the latest docu web-series Eating Out: The Hunt for Sustainable Seafood.

The series will give viewers an in-depth look accessing the sustainability of certain dishes at popular Miami restaurants. Each web short will feature a different co-host in the sustainable seafood industry including University of Miami researcher and U.S. champion free-diver, Dr. Claire Beatrix Paris and sustainable seafood author Paul Greenberg.

There will be a live performance by the official Kukuwa Fitness dancers and a special presentation from the Making Moves Universal program founded by Dr. Niraj Mehta, a program that uses dance as a form of coping treatment for cancer and other various illnesses.

To get the party going, there will be an exclusive late night happy hour cocktail menu offered to all with music by DJ Carter Jackson-Brown to set the mood. Throughout the evening Sereia Films will be presenting some of their previous videos that showcase various Florida ecosystems such as Mosquito Mate in Miami and more. It’s time we start caring for the environment and raise awareness.

Tickets are $25 and the party starts at 8pm.  For tickets click here.
