Artist JonOne Brings Color To Hennessy Limited Edition

Last week, Cafeina Wynwood Lounge hosted the the Hennessy V.S Limited Edition by famed artist, JonOne, launch party.

With appearances by Miami-based hip hop artists, Fat Joe and Ace Hood and Miami Heat’s James Johnson and music by world famous DJ Ruckus the party was a huge success.

The Limited Edition release by JonOne, which features a colorful, vibrant design, is the seventh in an ongoing series of collaborations between Hennessy V.S and several internationally renowned artists. As part of the launch, guests were able to enjoy artist-inspired cocktails, Hennessy V.S Primary Colors, RedYellow and Blue. My favorite was the yellow; 1.5 oz. Hennessy V.S Yellow, 0.5 oz. Lemongrass syrup, 0.5 oz. Yuzu Juice, 3 oz. Ginger Beer, Lemongrass stick. Combine Hennessy, lemongrass syrup and yuzu juice; add ice and top with ginger beer. Garnish with lemongrass stick – ENJOY!

The Limited Edition release by JonOne, which features a colorful, vibrant design, is the seventh in an ongoing series of collaborations between Hennessy V.S and several internationally renowned artists.

Each year, the brand selects artists for its Limited-Edition program based on creativity, authenticity, and innovation. Previous artists include KAWS, Futura, Os Gêmeos, Shepard Fairey, Ryan McGinness, and – most recently, Scott Campbell (the celebrity tattoo artist)

When selecting the artist for the seventh edition, Hennessy sensed a kindred spirit in JonOne.  Entirely self-taught, he became a graffiti artist at age 17 when he fell in with a group of other street artists and began tagging his work “Jon156”.  In 1984, he founded the graffiti collective 156 All Starz as a way to move past the urban blight around him and by 1987 he bought a one-way ticket to Paris, where he immediately emerged at the forefront of the street art movement. In his 30-year artistic career in France, he has been featured in dozens of shows and has expanded his range to decorative projects from rugs and speakers to a Boeing 777. Over the years, several JonOne works have set records at auction for graffiti art sold in France. In 2016 alone, JonOne counted six solo exhibitions in France, one in Israel and one in the United States.

The design appears on a limited run of flagship 750mL Hennessy Very Special bottles for the price of  $35.00.  A special deluxe gift edition is also available, featuring a 1.75L bottle decorated with JonOne’s iconic tag and Hennessy iconography and comes encased in a whimsically over-sized paint can, inspired by the artist’s studio and creative inspiration (suggested retail price of $200).

The Hennessy Very Special Limited Edition bottles by JonOne will be available for purchase on ReserveBar.com and fine retailers nationwide beginning starting this month.

It was a great night, with great music, and  a cool vibe that showcased #HowWeHennessy.
