Sundays call for Mimosas

All you need is a little love, that’s what you’ll get when you step inside the doors at The Passion Restaurant Group’s latest new Miami restaurant Love is Blind in Coral Gables. The latest venture opened its doors last year and continues to attract guests through the doors and take them on a culinary trip around the world.

Walk inside and you are greeted by lovely ladies that will then escort you to your table where you are then met by adorable servers, outfitted in suspenders and bow-ties, that are quiet charismatic.  The ambiance is light and inviting with high ceilings, candles lit throughout along with unique fixtures and sculptures and an open kitchen to give you that no so formal, yet romantic feel.

When you’re ready to eat choose from a unique menu of “world cuisine” created by Chef Jose Liriano, from Asian-inspired spring rolls, to a spin on an Italian caprese salad and plates such as short rib benedict and other delights, there is something for every palate.

On Sundays you’re in for an extra special treat as they host one of my favorite brunches in South Florida.  Mimosa Madness!  Each and every Sunday indulge in savory brunch selections such as Chicken and Waffles; a Belgian waffle topped with chicken tenderloins and Applewood bacon, maple syrup on the side (this was my fave), or try the Triple Decker Hangover Wrecker; 3 eggs over easy with ham, Applewood bacon and Swiss cheese stacked between a trio of sourdough toast or for you brunch experts try the Grilled Short Rib Benedict; anenglish muffins topped with boneless short rib, poached eggs and hollandaise sauce (MELT IN YOUR MOUTH).

Chicken and Waffles

These along with the other brunch items are all $17.99 and come with an appetizer. My suggestion- try the Serrano ham croquettes.  In addition to the great food, owners Carlos Galan and JC Chamizo are serving up  mimosas for just $0.99 per glass- you can’t beat that!  In case you are wondering,  you can also savor the signature lunch items served daily such as the Brick Oven Roasted Half Chicken, Salmon a la Sal, Veal Churrasco with Cuban Moros and Sweet Plantains & Grilled shrimp and Artichoke Open Papillote to name a few if you’re not in the mood for a breakfast meal.  All are equally delicious.

If mimosas aren’t your drink of choice, don’t fret you can enjoy Sangria Fria for only $4.00 a glass or create your own Bloody Mary with unlimited toppings and if that’s not for you they have a signature cocktail menu for you to choose from mixed up by master mixologists.

Brunch starts every Sunday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.

Also remember if you can’t wait until Sunday, every Wednesday is Wine Day with half off all bottles of  wine.
